Information

eduPrint is a print and photocopying system for students and employees at Uppsala University. Use eduPrint to print, make photocopies and scan documents and images. Students may use PayEx to pay for prints and photocopies, or buy print coupons to top up their printing accounts. Departments will be invoiced their employees eduPrint-jobs.

Printers of type "Standard" have more functions compare to printers of type "Compact".

Installation instructions

Mac computers with Zenworks: Look for the icon called "EduPrint" to install the new printer system.

Printing from Thinlinc

Print using the default queue eduPrint from the Linux system, from the terminal type "lp -d eduPrint /path/to/file.pdf" for black and white or "lp -d eduPrint/color /path/to/file.pdf" for color.
It is also possible to print from the web portal, eduprint.uu.se, by uploading documents to print.
When logged in to eduprint.uu.se, choose "Web Print" from the menue to the left, upload files with the button "Submit a Job".

How to access scanned documents on the shared netowk folder on user.uu.se from Thinlinc

From a command window (terminal window):

smbclient //user.uu.se/eduPrint/scan/username -U user.uu.se/username

where username is your university username.
Log on with password A.
You will now have a new prompt: smb: \> .
Type ls to list your scanned files.
Type get filename to download a file.
When finished type quit to log off from the network folder.

Another way is through Nautilus file explorer "Connect to Server", as "Server Address" enter smb://eduprint.its.uu.se/Scan and click "Connect". Enter your AKKAID as "Username", user.uu.se as "Domain" and enter your password A.
